Super Bowl 50 was played between the Denver Broncos and the Carolina Panthers. The Super Bowl was headlined as Peyton Manning’s last game, even though it was never really verified. The Carolina Panthers came into the Super Bowl as heavy favorites, The Panthers were lead by the dual threat quarterback Cam Newton and linebacker Luke Kuechly. Everybody was doubting–the Broncos within the Broncos because of their weak offense, not a bad offense, but it was not an offense that could match up against the Panthers. So if the Broncos wanted to win the defense was going to have to show up, and they did just that. Starting off the game with a field goal, and then the Broncos linebacker forced a fumble that fell into the end zone and was recovered for a touchdown. From then on the Broncos never looked back. Mistakes through the game by Cam Newton, combined with amazing play from the Broncos defense resulted in a Broncos victory. Super Bowl MVP honors were given to Von Miller, who had 2 sacks and 2 forced fumbles. More importantly former Colts quarterback Peyton Manning will most likely be retiring as a 2x Super Bowl Champion.
